Cover Reveal: Gypsy of Spirits by Bestselling Author Katie Jennings

International Bestselling Author Katie Jennings has been hard at work on a hauntingly romantic novel entitled So Fell the Sparrow, due out November 21st of this year! However, before the main novel releases, she will debut a prequel short story called Gypsy of Spirits, which poetically highlights one of the main characters and offers an exclusive sneak peek of So Fell the Sparrow.

This is the stunning cover for Gypsy of Spirits, available in eBook on September 21st!

Here is a taste of what to expect from Gypsy of Spirits…

Jackie drove through the dark of night, her headlights barely cutting through the heavy fog. The air swirled in all around her, the open top and sides of the jeep exposing her to the elements. She could have put the cover on and protected herself, but she didn’t mind the feel of the misty fog along her skin. It was part of what she enjoyed about seaboard towns like Mad Rock Harbor.
The town was a far cry from the temperamental Midwestern storms she’d long ago forsaken, her perpetually itchy feet carrying her elsewhere. Anywhere but there. She was a woman who called no particular place home. Instead, she brought her sense of home with her everywhere she went.
She had seen the sun set on the bluffs of the California desert, walked the well-traveled city streets of New York, and dipped her toes in the warm waters of Florida. She’d taken a lover in the heady splendor of Barcelona, kissed the blarney stone in Dublin, and sipped tequila in the tropical heat of Mexico.
She lived her life by the mantra that not all who wander are lost. She had never once felt lost, not in all her travels. Instead, she considered every step she took to be one more rung on destiny’s ladder. She trusted her every whim, her every desire, to fate. For fate had never once let her down.

International bestselling Author Katie Jennings is the author of six full length novels, including the popular fantasy series The Dryad Quartet as well as the bestselling family drama series The Vasser Legacy.

She lives in sunny Southern California with her husband and cat, who both think she’s the biggest nerd ever. She’s a firm believer in happy endings and loves nothing more than a great romance novel.

"Adjusting Journal Entries" - Review by Barbara Watkins

Author: Ashley Fontainne
Title: Adjusting Journal Entries
Genre: Thriller
Publisher: RMSW Press
Print ISBN# 0615721346
ASIN# B009XU6BCO

“To Revenge or Not to Revenge?”

Ever heard the phrase, “Something Wicked This Way Comes?” Author, Ashley Fontainne’s, novel ‘Adjusting Journal Entries’ is wickedly entertaining, thought provoking, and just all together thrilling!

As with all her books, Ms. Fontainne does her research – creates memorable characters, spot on dialogue, and always leaves her readers wanting more. Ms. Fontainne’s literary works remind me of another great author I adore, John Grisham.

‘Adjusting Journal Entries,’ the third book in the (Snake) series, wraps up this trilogy with a most thrilling conclusion. The reader follows, Audra Tanner, the heroine of the series, as she continues her flight for revenge. Who has not wanted revenge at one time or another in their life? As a reader, I long for plots with twist and turns – colorful characters, and scenarios that will ‘wow’ me. You will get all the above and more with, ‘Adjusting Journal Entries.’

Ashley Fontainne’s trilogy includes, ‘Accountable to None,’ ‘Zero Balance,’ and ‘Adjusting Journal Entries.’ I highly recommend adding all to your library!

"I introduce to you author, Demetria Rupkey"

I would like to introduce to you a new writer friend of mine, Demetria Rupkey. She has written a profound workbook designed to help in the recovery process after abuse. Ms. Rupkey knows about the subject all too well as she, from the age of five through fourteen, was abused by people whom she should have been able to trust.

After meeting a life coach, Demetria began the grueling process of becoming a survivor. Yes, she admits the journey to recovery will not be easy but through her writings entitled, ‘Journey to Healing’ she systematically outlines the course of action *one* can use to begin to heal.

Ms. Rupkey’s second book entitled, ‘Save Your Sanity Yearly Goal Planner’ is a gem for all those in need of help with time management issues. It is much larger than those currently on the market – greater in detail with specific needs to meet your goals.

I highly recommend ‘Journey to Healing’ for anyone who has been abused or know of someone suffering from this vicious act.

Keep your eye out for Ms. Rupkey’s next work in progress entitled, ‘Internal Reflections’ – a workbook designed to help navigate you through negative feelings and emotions of despair.

Please visit Ms. Rupkey’s web site to learn more about her and her books.

My Review of 'The Pink Canary' by Yvonne Mason

Title: The Pink Canary
Author: Yvonne Mason
Genre: Thriller/Comedy
Publisher: Lulu

ASIN# B008VEL1SC

“Hell Hath No Fury Like A Drag Queen Scorned!”

No, ‘The Pink Canary’ is not an English play – although if the great playwright, William Congreve, could be here today, and was given a chance to read ‘The Pink Canary’ by Yvonne Mason, ‘Hell Hath No Fury Like A Drag Queen Scorned’ just might be the title of his next winning play – based on Yvonne Mason’s new book of course, ‘The Pink Canary’.

I have read several of, Yvonne Mason’s literary works but I must say this piece is unique – exceptional in the fact that she waved her magic pencil like a wand – created a fresh storyline that includes some of her most outstanding characters to date.

As the story begins, it takes you on a roller coaster ride from New York to Miami. Imagine for a moment that a serial killer is loose in Miami, and he or she, is targeting Drag queens – accumulating body parts as trophies. An ex-private detective, now headliner and owner of the hottest drag queen establishment in Miami, teams up with a homophobic detective to try to solve the case. Add in ‘one’ badass drag queen toting a can of aqua net hairspray in one hand and a pair of Chinese hooker heals in the other – well, things are going to get ugly very quick!

I gave ‘The Pink Canary’ five stars for originality, delightful humor, and crime fighting suspense!

"The Blind Eye" by Marcia Fine - My Review

“The Blind Eye is a compelling and in-depth piece of history  - a spoonful of enticing fiction added in as a bonus written by an author with an impeccable eye for detail – Marcia Fine.

This riveting story reveals the prejudice and horrific travesty that occurred during the inquisition, and then merges into a story set in contemporary times. You will experience tastes, sights, smells, and sounds of the past and present through this author’s exceptional way of storytelling. Ms. Fine went to great lengths to methodically research this time in history, and threw caution when developing her characters – loveable characters illuminating depth, humor, humility, and others heaving with wickedness.

“The Blind Eye is a testament to all who seek equality for humanity regardless of their ethnic background! This author has inspired me to take flight on my own journey – a quest to further educate myself about this significant period in history.

Review of 'Ramblings of a Mad Southern Woman'

Title: Ramblings of a Mad Southern Woman (A Collection of Short Stories and Poetry on Life, Loss, Love and Longing)

Author: Ashley Fontainne
Sold by: Amazon Digital Services
Print Length: 81 pages
ASIN# B007Z1IGJO

Breathtaking Poetry – Fear-Provoking Stories with Suspenseful Tales Wrapped Around Human Emotions!

Ms. Fontainne (aka, Princess of Suspense) in her writings has a stupendous ability to reach down into your gut – to draw up the deepest emotions from your inner soul…emotions of love, empathy, fear, and revenge. Not afraid to proclaim her religious values, she inserts her loving spirit into a story creating emotional rapture… ‘How 9/11 Saved My Dad’ and ‘Who is Michael?’ come to mind.

When writing tales that involve revenge surrounded by suspense, Ms. Fontainne spares no mercy for the antagonist, as you will witness in ‘Stained Concrete’. With her short story, ‘Death By Shadow’ she manages to stir up terrifying childhood nightmares to which there is no escape. In ’Smoldering Ashes’, the author delivers a fierce tale of pain and torment followed by redemption that ‘one’ will not soon forget.

Ms Fontainne’s poetry is like experiencing a fine wine with an exquisite meal. Her words will take the reader on a journey through their darkest days of melancholy, and then release them into a world of spirited bliss.

‘Ramblings of a Mad Southern Woman’ is a powerful, and emotional voyage – a golden ticket from the award winning writer, ‘Ashley Fontainne’.

To Tag or Not Tag To Like or Not Like – That is The Question

The discussion of whether tagging and liking ‘ones’ product page effectively boosts sales is an important topic. As an author with a handful of books available on Amazon, I am endlessly exploring profitable avenues.

Tagging is labeling something in order to enhance your odds of others finding it. There are those that disagree with this method. Let us look at how this works. You are sitting at your computer just browsing around on Amazon, and decide that you want to look for a book such as “how to write a paranormal thriller,” how does Amazon determine what to offer up? This is where the tagging comes into play. Placing organized tags to your book that are related to the subject greatly enhances your books odds of being found. When others agree with your tags and check the appropriate boxes – the books probability of ranking higher is significant. No one is going to purchase your book if they cannot find it!

Even when writing an article such as this – the process of tagging is essential in order for my editorial to gain exposure.

Don’t just take my word that tagging and liking on your book product page is important. Read what International Best-selling Author, Vincent Zandri has to say about the process on his blog – The Vincent Zandri Vox.

So tweet, network on Facebook, promote your websites and blog, – use every source available in order to bring attention to your literary works…tag, tag, tag.

Hold on to your seat – “A Work in Progress” is an exhilarating ride”

Fast paced, ‘A Work in Progress’ will make you late for supper and keep you up way past your bedtime – you will not want to put it down until the last page is turned. Well developed characters and a plot with many twists and turns make this thriller a winner.

The main character, Jeremy Jackson, is a financial wizard, so to speak. However, where there is money, there are always investors – and not always legitimate. Money laundering, conspiracy theories – who can he trust? His body is aching and his mind is growing wearier by the day. He receives a letter from his darling wife, Cassie, in which she informs him that she and the children have been taken captive. She tells him that the house is bugged and that her involvement was all an act in order to try to save them. Is this a trap - another set-up, or could she be telling the truth? Are there terrorist involved?

Non-stop action, heroic characters, and ultimate suspense make this an electrifying thriller – one ‘Oliver Stone’ would be proud of! If you are a fan of ‘John Grisham’s work, then I think you will enjoy reading ‘A Work in Progress’ by Larry Sheridan – as this author too has a promising skill for writing in the thriller genre!
