Armand Mastroianni has been directing feature films, mini series, movies of the week, TV pilots and episodic series since 1979 beginning with his first feature film "He Knows You're Alone" which was released by MGM in 1980 and featured the screen debut of Tom Hanks. That film led to a string of features including "The Killing Hour" developed with William Fredkin, "The Supernaturals," "Distortions," "Cameron's Closet" and "Double Revenge." In between shooting feature films Armand began to produce and direct episodic television shows like Dark Shadows, Against The Law, Friday the 13th, War of the Worlds, Man and Machine, Perfect Crimes, Wes Craven's Nightmare Cafe, Freshman Dorm, Reasonable Doubt, Touched by an Angel and Dead Zone. Working almost non-stop he directed several highly received mini-series including Danielle Steel's The Ring and Robin Cook's Invasion. His two hour movies include: The Linda McCartney Story, Dare to Love, Robin Cook's Virus, Final Run, A Mother's Revenge, One of Her Own, Deep Trouble, When No One Would Listen, Nowhere to Land, Fatal Error, First Target, First Shot and for the TBS Superstation First Daughter, which was the highest rated movie for cable to date. When you think of big time director's in Hollywood - what comes to mind? Maybe egotistic, self-seeking...well, you would be dead wrong! I can tell you from personal experience that Mr. Mastroianni is anything but that! In October of 2011, my co-author of 'Six-Pack of Blood', Betty Dravis, approached Mr. Mastroianni about possibly reading our book of short stories and granting us a foreword for the book. Now anyone that knows my co-author, Betty Dravis, knows that she is a legend herself - a remarkable writer, journalist, celebrity interviewer, and list goes on. She isn't shy to go for the gold and nine out of ten times - she gets it...! Remember now that we are talking about asking the legendary Mr. Mastroianni to not only read our self-published book of short stories, but asking him to write the foreword as well. He did not hesitate and said *YES* To top it off, the man was in the middle of shooting a feature film when asked...did not hesitate! I still think my co-author and dear friend, Betty Dravis, lured him in with her million dollar smile and sweet disposition, hmmm. Well of course she did...!
Anyway, enough about us. :-) If you love suspense, drama, romance, thrills, a cast of multi-talented actors, unique plots with twists at the end - not to mention the extraordinary cinematography - your going to *LOVE* 'DARK DESIRE'

Barbara, This is such a fine blog about this fantastic movie directed by a legendary director and our dear friend...
After waiting for months to be able to pay it forward by helping spread the word about it, it would happen when I'm not at my computer. I can use my daughter's but with family around it's a bit more difficult...besides he a is broken and there are four A's in Armand's name alone. :-)
Thanks for pulling my duty too... Love you...
Hugs - Betty
