Why on earth would J.K. Rowling self-publish the e-books to her highly successful series, Harry Potter? Well, lets think about this a moment. Maybe she decided that 70 percent of the profits, she will more than likely receive, are more favorable than say 20 to 40 percent - you think? Maybe she just wanted full control over her writing and to have direct contact with her fans. What does this say about the digital world we live in? Will the publishing world finally jump on the band wagon - instead of dragging their feet as they have for so long?
Self-publishing no longer holds the stigma that all writer's who choose this form of publication must be losers - quite the opposite in fact. Please comment and let me know where you stand with your opinions about self-publishing.
